Searching e-mail databases makes it possible to find relatives. You can use the addresses to contact (living) relatives that might be able to tell you something about the history of the family or help you with your search by doing some research at the local archives abroad. Our experience about email contact with relatives is that most of them are very enthusiastic when they are being contacted by a long lost relative. Most people are interested in their roots.
